What I Do
I help organizations and businesses personalize their story to leverage the power of connection to attract their ideal clients, customers, and patrons.
Your organization’s story is much more than the date you opened your doors, the volume and location of your work, or who is involved. Finding and writing your unique story to reflect the heart and soul of who you are and what you do encourages connection with people important to your mission and goals.
As a writer and personal historian, I provide written content related to your story, most often in the form of website “About” page content. I am open to discussing the possibility of working with you on other kinds of Organizational Story projects, such as content for a brochure or promotional piece.
How It Works
I will do a brief, preliminary telephone interview with you to get to know your organization a little, understand your story needs and wants, and to allow us both to decide if working together might be a good “fit.”
If we decide to move forward, I’ll create a contract that describes what is expected of both me (Peggy Rosen Writing LLC) and you, cost and terms of payment, and other details of the project.
After a contract is signed, we will set up some time for you to tell me your story (or stories.) Interviews may occur by telephone, online via video-conference (such as Skype) or face-to-face if our mutual locations allow an in-person meeting.
For Organizational Story development, I may also want to review written material currently used by your organization to fully understand your brand and organizational “voice.”
I’ll then transcribe your words and create a draft for your review.
During the project process, I may communicate with you several times to gather more information or ask clarifying questions about the material. Written drafts and revisions can be exchanged between us either by email, snail mail, or online via Google Docs. Some revisions are a part of the process, as needed, to finalize your project. When your story is completed, you will receive it as an electronic file. Production and production costs of the story into its final format, such as the website page or hard copy materials, are the responsibility of the client. I can provide production services, if desired, under a separate contract/fee arrangement.
What It Costs
I don’t charge for the initial telephone interview, which is generally approximately 20 – 30 minutes in length.
As projects vary significantly in scope and complexity, I charge a Project Fee for organizational story. The Project Fee is stated clearly in the Project Contract and pays for my time and expertise to interview, conceptualize, evaluate and incorporate current materials, write, and revise. The Project Fee should reflect the total cost to you, unless changes to the Contract, agreed upon by both of us, require adjustments to the Fee.
The following rate may be used as a guide to cost. The actual cost of your specific project will be spelled out in a contract.
$375.oo per Web Page, such as a single “About” page.
